We would like to thank the American Psychological Association's (APA) Committee on Division/APA Relations (CODAPAR), for funding this project. CODAPAR promotes the mutual involvement of divisions and APA in fostering psychology as a science, as a profession, and as a means of promoting human welfare.

The Division on Applied Experimental and Engineering Psychology (Division 21) of the APA strives to advance the application of psychological principles, knowledge and research to improve the ability of humans to operate more effectively in a technological society. The goal is safer, more effective, and more reliable systems through improved understanding of the user's requirements and performance capabilities.
